The market operates on ACT Government land, albeit a
carpark. The Rotary Club of Belconnen has a Lease with the ACT Government
for the hours of operation of the market. This Lease also stipulates what
articles MAY NOT be sold at the market. This is an ACT Government
stipulation.

> Dairy Products (including Cheese,
Cream, Milk, and so forth)
> Delicatessen Items
> Eggs
> Fish and Related Products (eg: prawns, crabs,
etc)
> Foods Cooked at the Market
("Hawkers"
with a valid ACT Licence may operate outside the Market boundary)
> Fruit and Vegetables ... UNLESS, home grown
(a statement is requested to this effect)
> Ice Cream and Related Products
> Meats
> Processed Foods
> Shelled Nuts
> Soft Drinks
ANIMALS:
> Cats
> Dogs
> Rabbits ... UNLESS a vaccine certificate is
available
VEHICLES AND SIMILAR:
> New and Used Cars
> New and Used Motor Bikes
> Other Powered Transportation (excluding Models)
DANGEROUS GOODS:
> Chemicals
> Fireworks
> Flammable Liquids
> Live Ammunition
> Weapons of Any Description (includes: Guns,
Bows & Arrows, Spear Guns, Swords, Knives, etc)
OTHER:
> Cigarettes, Tobacco, and Other Nicotine Based

> Classified Publications (eg: R and / or X
rated material) whether it be printed or electronic (includes videos, CDs, DVDs,
computer games, and any similar item)

> Any Item or Good that may result in a
Contravention of Copyright Legislation and / or Regulation (eg: a "pirate"
music or computer software CD), or infringes upon the Trademark or Name of the
originating authority (eg: leather goods purporting to be from a "name"
brand, clothing, etc)
Should the Rotary Club suspect that unlawful or stolen goods
are being offered for sale at the market, the ACT Police or other relevant
authority will be contacted.
If you are in any doubt, you should contact the Rotary Club
of Belconnen PRIOR to seeking to have a
stall.
