seeking support ... general guidelines
The Rotary Club of Belconnen receives many requests for
support, from the local, national and international communities. Support
may be provided in terms of financial assistance, provision of goods or
services, or the commitment of time and effort by our members.
When the club receives a request, it is allocated to a
committee and considered on its merits. While the Rotary Club of Belconnen
wishes to assist the many deserving causes, we cannot support all requests that
are received .
The Rotary Club of Belconnen is more likely to assist an
organisation than an individual. Where we have provided support to an
individual, that individual has generally been recommended or identified by an
organisation as someone worthy of support.
Rotary locally offers many programs to the members of our
community. To take part in these programs, it is often necessary to be
nominated and supported by a Rotary Club. The Rotary Club of Belconnen
actively supports the Programs of Rotary. We welcome applications from
members of the community who wish to take part in a Rotary program. These
applications may be made direct or through a third-party.
All requests for assistance should explain what assistance you are seeking and how this
will help individuals or communities in need. The committee considering
your request may seek further information.
Requests for assistance should be sent to the Club Secretary, not
an individual Rotarian, either by email or standard post (refer Contact
Us).
