Through past initiatives, the Rotary Club of Belconnen has been involved with many other Rotary Clubs around the World.

In recent times, our club has "twinned" with the Rotary Club of Kromboom in South Africa.

It is our firm intention to continue and expand upon this relationship, in the furtherment of International Goodwill and Fellowship.

In the near term, we are seeking to expand this relationship through a fellowship exchange.

Beyond this initial period, it is anticipated both Rotary Clubs will join together in a "Matching Grant" project to provide furniture and renovations for a school in a Papua & New Guinea village.

In line with regional district goals, this club will be seeking partnerships with other Rotary Clubs in the local South-East New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory region to increase the potential effectiveness of our endeavours.

Whilst the immediate plans are not entirely finalised, goals being considered include:

  • Nomination of one or more candidates for a Group Study Exchange team, and / or, to host an inbound team;

  • Continue to seek opportunities to provide assistance with major projects in Timor Leste;

  • Continue to support Rotarians Against Malaria (RAM) projects, including extending our present sponsorship beyond a single village in the Solomon Islands;  and

  • Examine further support in conjunction with the Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS), especially as it might relate to the "Children of the Golden Triangle" in North West Thailand.

If you or your organisation are seeking assistance, refer to General Guidelines and then Contact Us for further detail.
